The   turn left Hellmuth drawing to a king or a jack and the river fell paint but it was the   ending the his tournament.

The 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online series Event #27: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Freezeout attracted 1,940 players and offered up a $698,400 prize pool. That will be paid out to the top 289 finishers with a min-cash being worth $558.72 and the winner walking away with a $110,556.72 first-place prize.

"Pleds" limped from early position and two-time bracelet winner Shankar "Burgersssss" Pillai raised all in for 3,656 from the hijack. Kijoon "standardiu" Park then three-bet to 8,562 and called off for 52,364 total when "Pleds" jammed.

The     flop kept Park firmly in the lead, but the   turn did give Pillai a flush draw. Unfortunately for him, the   river was a brick and Park scored the double elimination.

Kathy "Luckygal" Liebert moved all in for 10,721 from early position and action folded to Daniel "TiltedTowers" Deveau, who three-bet jammed for 24,171 from the small blind.

Liebert was dominated and looking to get lucky, but unfortunately this hand didn't live up to her screen name as the board ran out a lackluster      .

Last week, Ryan "protential" Laplante captured the poker world's attention with his remarkable run on nine cashes in a row and fourteen overall. Since the streak came to an end and Laplante has failed to add any subsequent cashes, Daniel "DNegs" Negreanu has managed to pull ahead for the cash lead in the 2020 WSOP Online series.

The six-time bracelet winner is on a streak of seven cashes in a row, which brings his total cashes through 26 events up to 15 with his biggest score thus far being $6,381 for finishing 27th in Event #13: $1,500 High Roller Freezeout. All told, he has amassed $37,033.

The 2009 World Series of Poker stood out in history for several things. It was the second year of the now-defunct November Nine, when Joe Cada became the youngest-ever world champion at 21 after defeating Maryland logger Darvin Moon heads-up. Phil Ivey finished seventh in the event, ensuring massive coverage throughout the Main Event and the final table in November.

While the 2009 Main Event is probably what's remembered most from that year, there was another story brewing that year when Australian professional Jeff Lisandro went on an unprecedented tear in the stud portion of the WSOP, and pulled off a feat that's yet to be matched: winning three stud-events in a single year.

To this date, Lisandro remains the only player to have pulled off that feat in nothing but stud events, and was the first player since Ivey in 2002 to win three bracelets in a single summer.
