Hinds checked, "samadhi" bet 210,000, and Hinds called, which brought about the   turn. Hinds checked, "samadhi" bet 575,000, and Hinds check-raised all in for 2,461,026. "samadhi" called and Hinds discovered the bad news.

Hinds had top pair but was drawing dead as "samadhi" had turned a straight. The meaningless   was run out on the river and Hinds took his leave from the tournament.

Benjamin "Phenom7" Underwood raised to 220,000 from the hijack and "samadhi" three-bet jammed from the button. Both blinds folded and Underwood called off for 2,163,245.

It was a big flip and Underwood was looking to hold to survive. That proved easier said than done though as the     flop paired "samadhi."

Action folded to "alululululu" on the button and they moved all in for more than 3.5 million, which put the short stacks in the blin to the test. "SpokyAct1on" was in the big blind and opted to call off for 836,088.

Stewart was behind holding live cards but he didn't mind the     flop that gave him straight and flush draws.

The   turn paired Stewart and he was looking good to score a double until the   appeared on the river ending hsi tournament in 21st place for $4,247,71.

John "flukedogg10" Flukey raised to 120,000 from the hijack and Christopher "BasIle28" Basile three-bet to 375,000 from the cutoff. "noz222" then moved all in for 495,811 from the big blind, Flukey re-jammed over the top for 2,575,404, and Basile got out of the way.

Mike "mouth123" Matusow moved all in for 348,690 from middle position and "eric_shun" called from the big blind.

"eric_shun" woke up with the granddaddy of all hands and Matusow was in trouble. The     flop gave Matusow a club flush draw, but he missed when the   bricked the turn followed by the   on the river.

Few poker players have captured the attention of the poker universe quite like Phil Ivey. There have been plenty of champions of the game who crushed it at the felt, but none who built up the mystique of Ivey, who remains to this day arguably the most magnetic player in poker despite results that no longer match his days of utmost dominance.

A day after the anniversary of Ivey's induction into the Poker Hall of Fame, PokerNews examines the legacy of his WSOP success. Prior to 2000, Ivey didn't have any recorded WSOP cashes.

The 23-year-old didn't waste any time establishing himself as one of the top up-and-coming players. That year, after already making one final table and finishing fifth, Ivey secured his first bracelet. He beat none other than fellow Hall of Famer Amarillo Slim Preston heads up to win Event #14: $2,500 Pot-Limit Omaha, a rebuy event, for his first bracelet and $195,000. Three other Hall of Famers — Chris Bjorin, Phil Hellmuth and David "Devilfish" Ulliott — also competed at that final table, so shipping it was about more than just getting his first taste of gold. Ivey showed he could beat the best in the business.

Two years after that, though, would be when Ivey really showed he was the present and future of the game. In 2002, Ivey showcased his skills at limit poker in a big way.
