Back-to-Back Doubles for Brad "MrMonkeyBear" Owen

Upon coming back from the break, Brad "MrMonkeyBear" Owen had just 882 in his stack. He's got nearly five times that now thanks to back-to-back doubles.
In the first, Owen cracked pocket kings with queen-five offsuit by rivering trip fives.
In the very next hand, "2DaRiverWeGo" raised to 300 from the hijack and Thomas "Yenowine" Yenowine called from the button. Owen then three-bet jammed for 1,914 from the small blind, "2DaRiverWeGo" called, and Yenowine got out of the way.
"2DaRiverWeGo":
Brad "MrMonkeyBear" Owen:
It was a flip and Owen pulled ahead on the flop. Neither the turn nor river changed a thing and just like that Owen chipped up to 4,228. Still short, but he's spinning.

David “Twizzlers” Prociak Looking for Back-to-Back Final Tables

When you talk about grinders, one name that constantly pops up is Florida's David Prociak, who is playing in today's tournament under the screen name "Twizzlers." He is looking to make back-to-back final tables after finishing in fourth place last night for $41,472 in Event #11: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo Deepstack 6-Handed.
He has more than $1.2 million in lifetime earnings dating back to 2015, including a career-best $330,912 for finishing runner-up in the 2015 Rock 'N' Roll Poker Open $3,500 Main Event. The following year, he took down the 2016 WSOP Event #60: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better tournament for $156,546.
Toss in a couple of WSOPC gold ring wins, including victory in the WSOPC Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event #7: $1,125 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed earlier this year for $51,400, and Prociak is clearly a forced to be reckoned with.
Prociak, who learned to play the game by watching it on TV, rented an AirBnB in order to grind the online series and was kind enough to send us a photo of him in action.
You can follow him on Twitter @DavidProciakPok.

Welcome to Event #12: $500 The BIG 500 No-Limit Hold'em

It's going to be a "BIG" day on WSOP.com, as Event #12: $500 The BIG 500 No-Limit Hold'em kicks off at 3 p.m. PDT, and a huge field is expected to fire away.
Players will start with 20,000 in tournament chips for their $500 buy-in, and blind levels are 15 minutes in length. Late registration is open for three hours and fifty-five minutes, and players unfortunate enough to bust have the ability to re-enter up to three times during the late registration period. Re-entries have a thirty-second time limit, so players should make sure they have enough funds in their WSOP.com account prior to the tournament start. Tournament tickets may not be used for re-entry.
This is a single day event meaning the entire tournament will be played out online and the winner will take home a WSOP Gold Bracelet.
Chance "BingShiu" Kornuth was denied a second WSOP online bracelet (and third WSOP bracelet overall) by Raman "Acrogum" Afanasenka in yesterday's Event #11: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo Deepstack 6-Max, and Afanasenka became the first international player to ship a bracelet during the WSOP Online series. Afanasenka, a native of Belarus, took home $128,601 and his first WSOP gold bracelet for his impressive performance.
The BIG 500 is expected to be a jam-packed affair, and Aaron "Aaronmermel" Mermelstein, Tony "Panoramic" Dunst, and Jason "GETVLOGGED" Abolsky have already signed up and will be firing from the start.
This is the twelfth of 85 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (31 events – one each day for the month of July) and GG Poker (holding the remaining 54 events).
The former client will cater to players in Nevada and New Jersey (players in Delaware are NOT able to participate), while the latter will serve the international base.
How To Play
The first step in getting set up to play on WSOP.com is to download the client. You can do so for both mobile (Android and iOS) and desktop (Windows 7 or higher and Mac OS X 10.6.8).
To get the correct version of the client, use the links below:
