John Ting's exit from the Main Event in 11th place earlier today removed a lot of the drama from the Casino Champion contest, but that does not mean this race is over. Ryan Methia still has a bit of a sweat on his hands.
Methia currently holds the lead in the contest with 72.5 points, but ring winner James Campbell is still alive in today's $365 Turbo event with a chance to take the lead and win the automatic bid into the WSOP National Championship.
Campbell will need a sixth place finish or better in Event 12 in order to tie Methia, so there is still a lot of play before we have a real sweat on our hands. We will nonetheless keep you posted on Campbell's progress as the afternoon goes on.
