Sunday, May 22, 2011 2:58 PM Local Time

The remaining players are on a 10-minute break.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 2:41 PM Local Time

Matt Waxman raised to 13,000 under the gun and AJ Jejelowo called from the next seat over. Allie Prescott called in the cutoff, Allen Kessler did the same from the small blind, and a     flop came down.

Kessler checked it to Waxman who bet 24,000. Jejelowo quickly called the bet, as did both Prescott and Kessler to see the   turn.

Kessler immediately shoved for 87,000, getting Waxman to fold. Jejelowo spent a good amount of time in the tank before folding, Prescott folded immediately, and Kessler took the hefty pot to up his stack to about 250,000.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 2:33 PM Local Time

Allen Kessler just six-bet shoved into Allie Prescott, and when Prescott folded, "Chainsaw" showed     for the bluff.

All right, that's an outright lie.

We've actually seen the table pretty much fold around since the players returned to the seven-handed final table. There hasn't been much movement at all in the last orbit or so.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 2:21 PM Local Time

Kunal Patel - 8th place

Kunal Patel raised to 12,000 to open the pot, and Allie Prescott three-bet to 35,000 in position. Jeremy Gaubert called all in for his last 6,000 from the small blind, and the action came back to Patel. He thought for a minute, then capped his cards with a chip and thought some more. He double-checked his hole cards, then shoved over the top all in for about 110,000. Prescott shrugged and called covering both players, and the cards were on their backs.

Showdown
Gaubert:
Patel:
Prescott:

Patel was in front, and he had to be happy to see his two opponent sharing the overcard ace. It didn't much matter. The flop came      , and Prescott shot into a big lead with aces up. Gaubert needed to find an ace, queen, or king to chop, while Patel was dead to the two remaining jacks in the deck.

The turn   and river   were blanks, though, and Prescott drags the biggest pot of the day. It's good enough to boost him into the chip lead with about 650,000, and it eliminates Gaubert and Patel in 9th and 8th places, respectively.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 2:15 PM Local Time

Allen Kessler shoved from the small blind for 58,000 and Jeremy Gaubert called out of the big blind for most of his stack with   . Kessler tabled    and looked to keep his tournament hopes alive.

The flop came down    , giving Kessler a set. Gaubert picked up a few outs when the   turn hit, but the river was the   and locked up the pot for Kessler

From the cutoff, AJ Jejelowo opened the action with a raise. Scott Lipshutz re-raised to 33,000 on the button and when the blinds folded, Jejelowo shoved with the big stack. Lipshutz folded after a few moments, giving up another pot to Jejelowo.

Scott Lipshutz

AJ Jejelowo raised to 12,000, and Scott Lipshutz three-bet to 28,000 total from the cutoff seat. The table folded back around to Jejelowo, and he took pause before four-betting to 65,000 straight. Lipshutz now spent some time in the tank himself, eventually surrendering to send the chips to the big stack.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 1:49 PM Local Time

Harry Cullen limped in from under the gun and Matt Waxman did the same from the cutoff. Allie Prescott checked his option and the flop came down    .

Prescott checked it to Cullen who bet 17,000. Waxman was the lone caller to see the   turn. Both opted to check it, landing the   on the river. Both checked again and Cullen tabled   . Waxman couldn't beat it, giving the pot Cullen.

Matt Waxman203,000-24,000

Sunday, May 22, 2011 1:37 PM Local Time

Harry Cullen opened to 12,000, and Allen Kessler three-bet shoved for 60,000 from the button. Cullen couldn't call, and Kessler moves up to 80,000 with that shove.

That's one full level in the books, and the players are off for a 15-minute break. We'll be right back with a fresh round of chip counts for you.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 1:08 PM Local Time

Kunal Patel opened to 11,000 from middle position, and AJ Jejelowo came along with a call from the button. The two men took a       flop, and Patel continued out with another 14,000 chips. Jejelowo didn't waste much time raising it up to 33,000 total, and Patel let it go.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 1:04 PM Local Time

Action folded to Matt Waxman in the small blind and he made it 14,000 to go. AJ Jejelowo called from the big blind and the flop came down    ...yikes!

Waxman's contination bet took it down though, upping his stack a bit to about 160,000.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 12:59 PM Local Time

Allen Kessler

After Harry Cullen opened the pot with a raise from the hijack, Allen Kessler shoved from the cutoff for about 45,000. Action folded around to Cullen who opted to fold, giving the pot to Kessler who showed pocket tens.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 12:53 PM Local Time

Playing the short stack is familiar territory for Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler and today's final table is proving to be no different. His stack is down to about ten big blinds as he has yet to play a pot.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 12:40 PM Local Time

AJ Jejelowo raised to 12,000 from middle position. Scott Lipshutz called one seat over and Gary Friendlander called from the big blind, landing a     flop.

Action checked to Lipshutz and he bet 22,000 with only Jejelowo coming along to see the   turn. Jejelowo check-called another 22,000 from Lipshutz, leading to the   river. A third check from Jejelowo led to an all-in shove from Lipshutz for 127,000. Jejelowo gave it up after about a minute in the tank.

Lipshutz upped his stack to about 247,000, while Jejelowo slipped to roughly 430,000.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 12:25 PM Local Time

Gary Friendlander raised to 12,500 in middle position and Allie Prescott called from the small blind.

The flop came down     and Prescott led 14,500 at the pot. Friedlander raised to 42,000, but that did not deter Prescott who re-popped it to 110,000. After about two minutes, Friedlander kicked in his hand and gave up the pot to Prescott.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 12:13 PM Local Time

Jeremy Gaubert raised to 12,000 from the hijack and Kunal Patel popped it to 29,000 from the button. Action folded around to Gaubert and he shoved for about 100,000. Patel called immediately, but that's where the drama ended.

Gaubert:

The board ran out       for a chopped pot.
