Dwyte Pilgrim

Tim West opened to 24,000 before Dwyte Pilgrim three-bet shoved. When it came back to West, Pilgrim started talking.

"I hope it's wide, Tim. I just hope your range is wide, son."

West told Pilgrim he had a pocket pair, but he eventually folded what he said was a pair of fours and let Pilgrim take it right there.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 2:25 PM Local Time

D.J. Blanchard raised from the cutoff seat, and Tim West three-bet all in next door. Steve Brecher looked to be considering something in the small blind, but he eventually passed, and Blanchard surrendered as well.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 2:22 PM Local Time

Action moved to Dwyte Pilgrim and he raised to 25,000. David Peters made the call in the next seat and everyone folded before the flop came down    . Both players checked.

The turn was the   and both players checked again to see the   fall on the river. Pilgrim bet 80,000 and Peters gave it up.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 2:21 PM Local Time

Dwyte Pilgrim has been a bit quieter than usual today, both in voice and in chip movement. We pick up the last pot as he makes an opening raise to 24,000 from the hijack seat. He found calls from David Peters (cutoff), Ali Eslami (button), and Tim West (big blind), and it was four ways to the flop.

When the dealer put out {8h    , one bet of 55,000 from Peters was enough to take it down right there.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 2:17 PM Local Time

Ali Eslami

David Peters limped in dark from the small blind, and Ali Eslami mini-raised to 20,000 to build a little pot. Peters called.

The two men checked through the       flop, and the   drew a bet of 10,000 from Peters, Eslami called there, and he called another, "Ten more," on the   river. At showdown, it looked like Peters tabled two nines, but Eslami's     was good enough to earn the pot.

David Peters and D.J. Blanchard saw the flop come    . Peters checked and Blanchard bet 33,000. Peters quickly check-raised to 100,000 and won the pot.

Steve Brecher

David Peters raised to 23,000 to open the pot, and he found one customer as Steve Brecher came along with the call from the small blind.

The two men took a       flop, and it check-checked to the   turn. Peters took his cue to make a delayed continuation bet of 30,000, and Brecher quickly check-raised all in. Just as quickly, Peters called the 115,000, and Brecher was at risk as the cards were turned up.

Showdown

Brecher:

Peters:

Peters was drawing to an eight, ten, or queen, but the river   was a blank.

That allows Brecher to earn the much-needed double up, pushing him back to 293,000.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 2:03 PM Local Time

Under the gun, D.J. Blanchard raised to 23,000, and both blinds (David Peters and Ali Eslami) called to see a flop.

It came      , and Peters took the betting lead with 40,000 of his own chips. Eslami made the call, Blanchard ducked out, and it was heads up to the turn. It was the  , and both players checked, and Peters bet another 45,000 on the   river. Eslami called.

Peters tabled     for tens and sixes, but Eslami's     had that beat, earning him the pot.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 1:53 PM Local Time

On the flop of    , Steve Brecher checked and Dwyte Pilgrim bet 34,000. David Peters announced a raise and made it 94,000 to go. Brecher folded and action moved back to Pilgrim. He also folded and Peters won the pot.

Dylan Wilkerson - 8th Place

Dylan Wilkerson was all in and at risk preflop with the   . He was up against the    for Dana Kellstrom in a standard all-in coinflip situation.

The board ran out       and Wilkeson failed to get there.

This was the second time in the past two days that Wilkerson has lost a big pot with big slick. Yesterday, he lost a massive pot for the chip lead after running    into Tim West's aces. This time, Wilkerson had no more chips left and was felted, hitting the rail in eighth place for $30,397.

Our media desk is set up about 25 feet from the actual final table and we are not allowed on the stage as the event is being televised for airing at a later date on the Versus Network.

In an attempt to lessen the amount of tournament announcements that bleed into the recorded audio, only the big, significant action will be announced. We'll be doing our best to grab what we can from the vantage point we have, but it will be hard to correctly gauge bet amounts and raise sizes from where we are. We're not giving up though and we'll provide any and everything that we can.

This is just one of the things that must be dealt with when having televised poker programs in order to relay the game to mass audiences across the world. It's great for the game to be promoted on such a large scale with television and we'll do our best to work around things in the meantime in order to accommodate that.

Action folded to Tim West and he raised to 18,000. Steve Brecher reraised all in from the button and won the pot.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 12:36 PM Local Time

Miller Dao - 9th Place

Miller Dao moved all in from middle position and was called by Dylan Wilkerson in the big blind. Dao shoved with the    and Wilkerson held the   . Dao would need some help if he was going to survive this all-in confrontation and double up.

The board ran out       to leave Dao in the dust. He was eliminated on the hand while Wilkerson collected the chips and improved to 130,000.

Steve Brecher

Tim West opened with a raise before Steve Brecher moved all in for 113,000. When it came back to West, he took his time considering as he felt out Brecher's strength.

"Do you mind if I call and put a bad beat on you," West asked at one point. Brecher remained statuesque, and West eventually surrendered his bad-beat hand.

Brecher shoved again just a moment ago, and each time he successfully does that, he adds at least 21,000 chips to his short stack.

Wednesday, March 30, 2011 12:24 PM Local Time

The table folded around to Steve Brecher's cutoff, and he moved all in with his short stack. He had to sit like a statue for about a minute, but the three players behind him eventually folded in turn to let him take the blinds and antes.
