Ayaka Muraishi leads Day 1A
The first of three opening-day flights in the $1,700 Main Event is in the books with 91 entries to kick things off at Horseshoe Las Vegas.
When all was said and done, a total of 23 players bagged chips to move on to Day 2 on Sunday for a shot at a massive prize pool! The guarantee is $500,000, but the last Main Event ballooned to just over $1 million.
Leading the field is Ayaka Muraishi sitting on almost 11 starting stacks with 439,000. Alex Massola sits in second with 305,000 and two-time bracelet winner and Circuit champion David Jackson rounds out the top three with 250,000.
Familiar faces moving on include Eric Baldwin, Shundan Xiao and David Goodman.

It's been a great week already at the World Series of Poker Circuit at Horseshoe Las Vegas, but it's time for the marquee event.
The first of three starting flights in the $1,700 Main Event kicks off at 11am local! There's a massive $500,000 guaranteed, but we're confident this number will be a lot bigger by the end of the weekend.
The last Main Event winner at Horseshoe was long-time poker pro Giuseppe Pantaleo (pictured below), pocketing $192,831 and topping a field of 669 entries. The prize pool ended up ballooning to just over $1 million.
Here are the details for this event:
- $1,700 buy-in, $500,000 guaranteed
- 40,000 starting stack
- 40-minute blinds Levels 1-15, 60-minute blinds thereafter
- Registration is open until the start of Level 13 on Day 1
- Day 1 flights will play either 15 levels or until 16% of the field remains, whichever comes first
