Seniors Event Champion Micheal Dunn

The largest single-day field of the WSOP Circuit Series here in Tulsa came out Sunday for the $250 Seniors event, and just after midnight local time, it was Micheal Dunn defeating Larry Morgan heads-up to top a field of 464 entries.

For the win, Dunn earned a career-best $18,269 along with his first WSOP Circuit ring and entry into the 2024 WSOP Tournament of Champions.

“It feels great…I didn’t come in here expecting to do anything like this today but I really got lucky many, many times today.”

Dunn, who says he’s a recreational player who plays mostly 1/2 and 1/3 cash with a sprinkling of tournaments throughout the year outlasted a tough final table that included six-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Pamela Belote, who finished 3rd.

Dunn surpassed his previous best-ever tournament cash, a 17th place finish in this event last year. He did so by spinning up his stack after starting the table as the shortest of the nine remaining players, then surviving a swingy heads-up match with Morgan.

The champion joked that he gets to play poker mostly when his wife is out of town, and said that she may be one of two beneficiaries of his winnings.

“Well, half of it’s going to taxes so Uncle Sam will get his share, but I don’t know. Maybe I’ll give it to my wife.”

A huge field of 464 entries has reached the final table with six-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Pamela Belote headlining the final nine.

Belote sits seventh in chips, but all nine players are within reach of each other, with even chip leader William McCracken currently holding just 28 big blinds.

Here's a look at how the final table shakes down.

Seat 1: James Haver - 975,000
Seat 2: William McCracken - 1,690,000
Seat 3: Pamela Belote - 780,000
Seat 4: David Ferree - 915,000
Seat 5: Micheal Dunn - 670,000
Seat 6: Tony Birney - 1,200,000
Seat 7: Michael Thomas - 760,000
Seat 8: Larry Morgan - 1,155,000
Seat 9: Justin Barclay - 1,000,000

Each remaining player has locked up $1,712 for their final table appearance, but they all have their sights set on the $18,269 first prize along with the prestigious WSOP CIrcuit ring.
