Tyler Barnes, Maurice Hawkins and Tyler VanKeuren went to a limped flop of      . VanKeuren checked, Barnes bet 250,000 and Hawkins mucked. VanKeuren called, the turn came   and VanKeuren bet 385,000. Barnes called, the river came   and VanKeuren moved all in for 1.675 million.

"Why do I think that the ace was the worst card for me?" Barnes wondered out loud. He called and mucked when he saw VanKeuren's     for a full house.

Niles Choudhary was eliminated in 13th place at the other table. Tyler Barnes took the pot with two pair holding Ax Qx and Choudhary had Qx Tx for only a single pair.

The board finished     and VanKeuren doubled to 2.65 million.

Chris Mo doubled up holding     against Dale Roesel's     when he turned two pair. Dale dropped to 2 million and Mo is at 8 million.

At the other table Maurice Hawkins might have doubled up against Tyler Barnes. There's a question about where Hawkins doubled our is just short of doubling based on the verbal action of Barnes.

Michael Wang opened to 240,000 and Gabriel Andrade shoved all in for 1.7 million behind. Action folded around to Wang and he called. Wang was ahead with ace king to Andrade's ace jack. Wang spiked a king on the flop and Andrade's day was done.

Andrew Moreno

Here it is! It's time for Day 3 of the Cherokee Main Event which returns with still 19 players left in what will be a full day of action as the remaining players look to battle for the $383,856 top prize.

It's hard to believe the third of four WSOP Circuit Cherokee stops is almost in the books, but here we are!Just 19 players remain on Day 3 of the Main Event, and it's going to be an exciting day. One of the most familiar faces, Andrew Moreno, sits atop the counts with a lengthy lead with 10,360,000 and looks to win his very first WSOPC ring. Shocked? Well, you'll continue to be shocked knowing Adam Hendrix has also yet to win a ring, sitting in third.

Dale Roesel

We didn't skip second in chips, Dale Roesel, on purpose. He's in a paragraph of his own, because he's had a phenomenal run lately. Run it back to November 2023 right here at Cherokee where he shipped Event #4 for his second ring, followed by 8th place in the Main Event just days later. Thought he was done? Nope. He finished 2nd place at The Wynn in Vegas in a $3,000 event for $640,000+, took a little break and finished in 2nd place in the WSOPC Tunica Main Event for over $100,000. Stay tuned to find out if he makes back-to-back Cherokee final tables and third overall (6th place finish in the Cherokee Main in Feb, 2022)., and if he wins ring #3.

Tyler Barnes and David Yue round out the top five chip counts.

Two-time ring (and bracelet!) winner Michael Wang is 6th in chips while 15-ring winner Maurice Hawkins sits in 8th place with a serious shot at ring #16.

Maurice Hawkins

Notables Gabriel Andrade, Zach Gilbert, David Dowdy, Ryan D'Angelo and Zak Vankeuren remain alive in contention as well.

Play begins at 12 noon with a nearly $4,000 pay jump right off the bat. PokerOrg will have all the updates for you on as the day plays out!
