The final six players returned for an unplanned Day 2 and all eyes were on Brian Waller - an unknown player with half the chips in play. But experience won out and two-time WSOP bracelet and ring winner David Jackson evened up his jewelry count and won $55,109.

"My day was pretty swingy but I made it," Jackson said with relief after the win. "It feels really good. Today went pretty quickly - one guy (Waller) had all the chips and was literally knocking everybody out. He probably knocked out 14 people today."

"I'm going to be here the rest of the Series and will try to make something happen," Jackson added.

He's riding his heater and as soon as the interview was over, Jackson went to register for the second flight of the Monster Stack event. Jackson won his first ring here at Cherokee in 2017 in a $580 No Limit Hold'em event.

Jackson won his first bracelet in an online $777 Lucky Sevens event and then defeated none other than Phil Hellmuth heads-up in a $3,000 Freezeout event in 2022.
