The Day 1A field for the Main Event hit the hard stop of 21 players with 21 minutes remaining in Level 17. The advancing players logged in about a 13.5 hour day when all the chips were bagged. Anthony Allison ended with the chip lead after amassing 800,000 with an unconventional style.

Dylan Lemery (724,000) and Ronald Taylor (714,000) are on his heels and then there's a big gap until St. Louis pro Paul Fehlig with 497,000. Andruw Todhunter, Eric Salazar and Donovan Dean bagged up average stacks. Cody Stanford, Spencer Champlin and Trent Bennett have some work to do at the bottom of the counts.

These players join the advancing field from Day 1B that runs on Saturday. All players resume for Day 2 on Sunday at noon to play down to the final table.

Anthony Allison continues to hold court in the lower section of the tournament room. His constant table talk during hands has brought warnings from a couple of dealers throughout the night that he needed to pull it back.

Well, he didn't. He was in a hand on a board of        , checked on the turn, his opponent bet 30,000 and Allison check-raised to 85,000.

He continued to chat it up, even offering his opponent advice. The dealer in the box sternly asked him to stop and Allison said ok. His opponent mucked and Allison shoed     for a stone bluff and was beside himself. While he was stacking the pot, the dealer reiterated his warning about Allison's table talk during hands.

Anthony Allison's previous table had some time to warm to up to him as his drink orders increased. That table remained pretty and without incident.

During the redraw Allison was seated directly next to Spencer Champlin - who happens to fall on the quiet and conservative approach at the table.

Champlin played a hand against an opponent where Champlin three-bet on the button preflop to 28,000, the put out a "call me-sized" bet of 18,000 on the flop of      . All the while, Allison was talking in his ear about the hand, his other table, maybe event the weather, but Champlin did his best to block out Allison's jibber jabber.

"Maybe you should call it a night," Champlin said curtly as he raked the pot. Allison sat back a little, but it's unsure whether the message was received.

Anthony Allison is running hot and talking even hotter. He's been on fire the last couple of levels with just enough liquid lubrication to make him unpredictable.

He opened, a short-stacked player moved all in holding pocket fours and Allison called with pocket nines. "Give me a nine on the flop dealer," Allison said.

Sure enough, there was an eight in the window and the board ran          . Allison has 900,000.

We found Bruce Simmons and Cody Stanford locked up in a hand. They were at a flop of      , Stanford check-called a bet and the turn came  . Both players checked, the river came   and Stanford bet 20,000. Simmons raised to 45,000 and Stanford let his hand go after a couple moments.

"That flop couldn't have hit me any harder," Simmons said as he showed the table    .

Matthew Higgins was the unfortunate bubble boy. He shipped it in with two suited Broadway cards, got called by a player with pocket fives and Higgins didn't get any help from the board.

Hand-for-hand play lasted for two rounds.

We found a big pot on the river with the board of           between David Baize and Mickey Leaptrot. Baize checked, Leaptrot bet 40,000 and Baize moved all in, having Leaptrot covered.

Leaptrot eventually folded after tanking for a little while and Baize said, "You want me to make your day? Do you want me to? I'll show you."

He turned up     for the nut flush and said, "Good fold."

Bruce Simmons opened from under the gun to 8,000 and action folded all the around to Johnny "Rungood" Gallaher in the big blind. He called, the flop came       and Gallaher checked. Simmons tossed out a 5,000 chip and Gallaher check-raised to 15,000.

Simmons called, the turn came   and both players checked. The river came  , Gallaher checked and Simmons bet 22,000. The bet set Gallaher back in his chair. He grinned and thought, but eventually folded.

Simmons showed the   for the king-high flush.
