Eric Bunch
Day 2 of the Tulsa Main Event began with 58 players and ended with only five after over 12 hours of play after rapid eliminations and big action made for a dramatic day in Tulsa.
Ending the night as chip leader was Tulsa local Eric Bunch who ended with 5,320,000. Bunch was the chip leader after Day 1a and remained among the big stacks throughout the day. When the final table of nine was reached he took the chip lead in dramatic fashion when he came out on top of a double knockout which put him on the pedestal that he would not relinquish.
Richard Gebhart began Day 2 as the second largest stack and he would stay on fire throughout the day as he was almost always stacking chips each time he was spotted in action. He ended the day as the second largest stack with 3,500,000
Brandon Elmore had a charmed life late in the day as he was knocked down to as low as a couple of big blinds but won several all ins as a short stack to remain alive and end the day as the third largest stack (2,240,000)
Kasey Mills survived the day and ended as the fourth largest stack with 1,700,000 after having a solid day that saw her have a slight chip lead as the final table began.
John Lopez would be the short stack of the remaining five with 1,475,000 after starting the day as overall chip leader, meaning that three of the top five stacks to start the day ended up as three of the five remaining players.

The day began with flaming action as the field was cut all the way down in half from 58 to 29 before the first break. Some of the well known players to be eliminated from that point on were; Cedrric Trevino (25th Place ), Daniel Lowery (17th Place) and the father/son duo of Todd and Trey Bartlett would bow out in 15th and 11th respectively.
The final table was reached just before the dinner break where action would be slow for the first hour before exploding when Bunch took out Jeffrey Roberson and Harold Kruger in the aforementioned same hand to cut the field to seven.
Tulsa Ladies Event winner Ashley Frank would be the next to hit the rail in seventh place after she had a great early part of the day to move to one of the bigger stacks before hitting rougher sledding at the final table.
Six-Handed play would be a double-up war as the short stack won multiple all ins in a row before local crusher Will Berry was finally sent away in sixth place to make for the final five that would advance to Day 3.
Day 3 will begin at 12 noon local time with action on Level 27, blinds at 40,000/80,000/80,000.
WSOP.com will provide all the updates starting from then as the players will battle for the $145,876 grand prize.
