Grand Victoria WSOP Circuit Main Event champion Frank Lagodich

After a hard fought head's-up match with WSOP ring winner Jill Bryant, Ohio native Frank Lagodich is the Main Event champion of the first ever Grand Victoria Casino WSOP Circuit stop. Not only did Lagodich have to outlast a field of 1,070 entrants, he also had to outplay a final table full of incredibly skilled poker players. 

Not only did Lagodich win the biggest piece of the $1,621,050 prize pool, he also punched his ticket to the 2023 WSOP Tournament of Champions that will take place in Las Vegas this summer.

Jill Bryant Eliminated In 2nd Place ($170,577)

After trading chips back and forth with eventual winner Frank Lagodich, Jill "Purple Train" Bryant would eventually lose her lead after folding what she said was two pair following an all-in check raise from Lagodich.

Later, Bryant would utilize her aggressive style, moving all-in following a preflop limp from Lagodich. After counting his stack, Lagodich would make the call, showing he had the better ace.

Unable to find a four or a chop on the river, Bryant would be eliminated, serving as runner-up in the Circuit Main Event.

Following a button raise from Frank Lagodich, Jill Bryant would make her opponent play for it all, raising him all-in. Lagodich would make the call.

After agreeing to take a 10 minute break, both remaining players will begin heads-up player shortly.

Timothy Gundrum Eliminated In Third Place ($125,964)

Frank Lagodich limped into the pot from the button, following an additional limp from Jill Bryant and a check from Timothy Gundrum, we had all players involved heading to the flop.

Flop:    

After a check from Bryant, Gundrum would bet 600 into both players. Although it forced Lagodich out of the hand, Bryant would make the call to see fourth street.

Turn:  

After a check out of position from Bryant, Gundrum would bet again, this time for 1,200,000. Instead of calling, Bryant would raise her opponent all-in. Gundrum thought for some time, before making the call revealing   . Much to his dismay, Bryant had turned a straight with   .

With no outs, Gundrum would be eliminated from the tournament.

While not too many chips have been exchanged since Bryant doubled through Lagodich about a half hour ago, small pots continue to move in her direction as her lead grows.

Following a small blind raise from Frank Lagodich, Jill Bryant pushed her remaining 6,825,000 into the middle to challenge the then chip leader. Lagodich asked for a count, ultimately making the call after hearing the price.

Lagodich would hit the   on the flop, but just as Bryant was ready to leave with her rail the miracle   on the river propelled Bryant into the chip lead. As expected, high fives and hugs were exchanged with her rail.

Renato Spahiu Eliminated In 4th Place ($94,064)

Folding around to Renato Spahiu in the small blind, the player donned in the Chicago Bulls cap elected to make a move with his dwindling stack. Spahiu moved all-in, and would be called by Jill Bryant in the big blind who had him well covered.

As you would have guessed, Bryant would nail a jack on the river, eliminating Spahiu in 4th place.

Brekstyn Schutten Eliminated In 5th Place ($71,040)

Moving all-in from the cutoff, Brekstyn Schutten would get called by only Frank Lagodich in the small blind. Upon reveal, Schutten would see he needed some help.

Aleksander Cvijovic Eliminated In 6th Place ($54,268)

Limping in middle position, Aleksander Cvijovic would be met with a three-bet from Jill Bryant in the small blind for 600,000. Cvijovic thought for a few moments before ripping the rest of his chips into the middle. Bryant had him covered, but had to go into the tank before finding the call.

Once again, the phrase "Jacks for Jill" continues to gain relevance as the   on the flop rewarded Bryant another hefty pot while eliminating another opponent.

After making a 300,000 raise under-the-gun, Frank Lagodich only got action from Brekstyn Schutten in the small blind who made the call.

Following a check from Schutten, Lagodich would execute a 150,000 which was called.

The turn would go check-check, with the river seeing much more action.

River:  

First to act on fifth street, Schutten would lead out for 325,000. Lagodich would spring into action, raising the WSOP High Roller runner-up 1,800,000. Schutten would think for some time before making the call, only to see in dismay that Lagodich received runner-runner trips holding   .
