The World Series of Poker Circuit returned to Hard Rock Tulsa for its first of two stops of the 2022/2023 season, as 646 entries were recorded through two starting flights and a $978,690 prize pool was generated.

After a prize pool was calculated, 98 players were able to take a piece of it, but it was Arthur Morris who walked away with the lion's share, as he claimed Hard Rock Tulsa’s $1,700 Main Event title that came with a $182,379 top prize, and a seat into the 2023 Tournament of Champions.

Arthur Morris raised to 400,000 and Mike Cordell called to see a     flop. 

Cordell check-called a 650,000 continuation bet from Morris, bringing the   action turn which saw fireworks as a series of raises saw Cordell call off his 6,000,000 stack.

It was a cooler situation for Cordell as he flopped trip eights and held the king-high flush draw, but Morris turned the nut flush, leaving Cordell needing any king, ten, or eight to stay alive. 

Unfortunately for Cordell, the   completed the board on the river and ended his Main Event runner-up for $112,717.

After starting the heads-up battle a 3:1 dog, Arthur Morris has started chipping away at Mike Cordell to turn the tide in his favor.

Mike Cordell raised from the button and then called Cedrric Trevino's three-bet from the big blind, bringing about a     flop. 

Trevino continued for 650,000 and then called a 2,200,000 raise from Cordell. 

Once the   turn hit the felt, Trevino moved all-in and Cordell snap-called holding just 75,000 more in chips.

Trevino fell behind after Cordell paired his queen on the flop, but still held outs as any spade or ten would win him the pot. 

Unfortunately for Trevino, the   completed the board and ended his Main Event run in third place for $82,737.

Cedrric Trevino raised to 325,000 from the button and Arthur Morris defended his big blind to see a     flop. 

Morris check-called a 225,000 continuation bet from Morris and the   turn was checked by both players to the   river. 

Morris led out with a healthy 1,050,000 bet and Trevino mucked his hand after careful consideration.

Arthur Morris raised to 300,000 from the button and then snap-called the 1,500,000 three-bet jam Blair Hinkle made from the small blind.

Hinkle had Morris dominated until the     flop hit the felt pairing Morris' four. 

The   turn left Hinkle needing a queen and the river did come with some paint, but it was the   making him the first elimination of the day.

Cedrric Trevino raised to 275,000 from the button and Arthur Morris called from the big blind. 

The flop came     and Morris check-called a 150,000 continuation bet from Trevino and the   paired the board on the turn. 

Both players checked and the   completed the board on the river. 

Morris led out for 125,000 and Trevino quickly called. 

"I have a nine," said Morris before mucking his hand after Trevino tabled    to win the pot.

Action folded to Cedrric Trevino who limped-in from the small blind only to call a 270,000 raise from Mike Cordell in the big blind. 

The flop came     and Trevino check-called a 275,000 continuation bet from Cordell, then did the same for 600,000 after the   fell on the turn. 

After the   completed the board on the river, both players checked and Cordell tabled    to win the pot.

The     flop was checked to Hinkle who fired out 300,000 and only Cordell check-called to see the   turn.

Cordell check-called a 175,000 continuation bet from Morris and both players checked the   turn to the   river. 

Cordell led out for 375,000 and Morris reluctantly called. 

Cordell rolled over    for two-pair and it was good as Morris quickly mucked his hand.

The     flop was checked by all three players to the   turn. 

Action was checked to Morris who fired out 150,000 and Hinkle raised to 575,000.

Trevino quickly released his hand and Morris followed suit, giving Hinkle the pot.

The     flop saw Hinkle continue for 325,000 and Morris called bringing the   turn.

Hinkle quickly rolled over    for a pair of sevens and it was good as Morris released his hand into the muck.
