Michael Jozoff - The Bike Circuit Main Event Champ

Another Bicycle Casino Main Event Champion was crowned on Wednesday evening, the second of the 2021/22 World Series of Poker Circuit tour. Back in December of 2021, Frenchman Yoann Gimenez claimed the crown.

This time around, local Poker Pro Michael Jozoff was the one to capture glory in Event #11: $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event. The prestigious tournament drew a field of 550 entrants, generating an over-$800,000 prizepool. Payouts were awarded to the top 83 finishers with Jozoff grabbing the grand prize of $161,500 and his first gold ring.

Eugene Tito's stack had been dwindling bit by bit since heads up began. He sat with the button and moved all in for around 2,200,000. Jozoff instantly put in some chips to call.

Tito had run into Cowboys as Jozoff revealed   . With one over card Tito's    was in rough shape.

The board ran out      . A pair of tens on the flop gave Tito some life, but he could not overcome Jozoff's pocket kings in the end.

Michael Jozoff, on the button, opened to 210,000 and Eugene Tito, in the small blind, came over the top with a bet of 600,000. Jozoff called.

The flop came    . Tito fired for 475,000 and Jozoff called to see the   on the turn. Tito checked to Jozoff who bet 1,200,000. Tito evaluated his options before eventually making the call. 

The river was the   and Tito checked once again. Jozoff kept the pressure on and announced that he was all-in for his remaining 3,000,000. The bet put Tito in the tank, but after some time he decided to muck his hand to give Jozoff a large pot to further establish his chip lead.

A couple hands after taking a huge blow, Steve Hyung was in the big blind. Action folded around to Eugene Tito in the small blind. Tito shoved on Hyung and Hyung called for his final 485,000.

Steve Hyung kicked things off with a raise to 240,000. He got two callers, Iris Angeleri in the small blind and Michael Jozoff in the big.

The flop laid out    . Angeleri checked. Jozoff checked. Hyung continued for 250,000. Angeleri called. Jozoff got out of the way.

The turn was the  . Angeleri checked again. Hyung bet 400,000. Angeleri came over the top with a check-jam. The Dealer pulled in the 400,000 from each player, which left 1,515,000 in front of Angeleri.

Hyung separated the amount from his pile. A call would leave him with 685,000 behind. Hyung stood up. He held the tall stack of 1.5 million in his hand. Multiple times he jerked for a tiny bit, yearning to call, only to pull back.

After a couple minutes of tanking, Hyung shipped in the call. Angeleri flipped over    for a flopped set. Hyung shook his head and turned up his   .

The river was the  , giving Hyung trips, but filling up Angeleri's twos.

Michael Jozoff opened to 200,000 from under the gun. Next to act was Marc Robinson in the cutoff. Robinson moved all in.

Action folded back to Jozoff who had a decision to make. Jozoff eyed up Robinson's stack and came to the count of 1,450,000. This was good enough for Jozoff to make the call. Another Robinson showdown got underway.

The flop came    . Angeleri bet 375,000. Tito called.

The turn was the  . Angeleri fired another barrel, betting 425,000. Tito called again.

The   landed on the river. Angeleri slowed down with a check. Tito grabbed a stack of purple, 25k chips and slid it into the middle. Angeleri flipped in a chip to call.

Tito turned over    for flopped trips. Angeleri lifted up her cards, then dropped them back down and moved them to the muck. The final bet Angeleri had to match was for 625,000. The sizable chip swing deemed Tito the new leader at the table.
