No-Limit Hold'em
Entries: 249
Prizepool: $82,170

Frank Covich won his second career WSOP Circuit gold ring Monday night after a long grind of about 14-hours.  He was the last man standing in the 249-player field in Event #6: $400 No-Limit Hold’em and earned $19,019, along with a spot into the ‘Tournament of Champions’ in Las Vegas.

“It feels good, it’s been a struggle for that last year.” Said Covich “But I finally got it.”

It wasn’t an easy battle for Covich as he reached the final table with the second lowest chip stack but quickly found a double up when he won a flip with Ace-Jack against pocket threes. When he managed to make it to heads-up, he was out chipped against runner-up Christopher Raines and fell as low as a 7-1 underdog. “I just tried to play slow and hope he would call off light.”

Covich doesn’t play too many World Series of Poker Circuit stops throughout the year but does play the ones that are close by including, Cherokee, Tunica.
