Richardo Eyzaguirre - Chip Leader after Day 1A

Day 1A of the WSOPC Thunder Valley Main Event attracted a total of 227 entries and ended with 46 surviving players.

Leading the survivors at the end of the day was Ricardo Eyzaguirre with a whopping 499,500. The Miami native has two WSOPC rings to his name in his career. He was spotted late in the day with a large stack and finished on top after a solid day of play. 

In second place in chips was three-time ring winner Jarod Minghini who bagged up 420,000. Chai Chang (332,500), Justin Chan (266,500) and Ken Morey (251,500) rounded out the top five largest stacks.

A few other notable players to advance to Day 2 include: Cole Miller (250,000), Jacqueline Burkhart (240,500), Roland Israelashvili (160,000) and Nick Shkolnik (159,000).

The 46 survivors will return to action for Day 2 on Sunday at 11 a.m. They will join the Day 1B players who will take to the felt Saturday at 11 a.m. where coverage will resume.

The seat formerly occupied by Angela Jordison was empty and Jacqueline Burkhart was spotted with a much larger stack than previously at the same table.

Burkhart confirmed that she did indeed eliminate her friend Jordison, which she joked could create an awkward situation between the two good friends after the conclusion of play tonight on Day 1A.

From the button four players were in a hand. Randall Blankenship three-bet to 18,000 over a raise to 5,000 and two callers. Angela Jordison called the 18,000 from early position and a player in middle position called as well. Brent Francia was in the hijack and folded after some consideration.

Jaime Haletky, in the big blind, announced that he was all-in for his remaining 35,000 and the action folded around to Frank Sanders in middle position. Sanders went into the tank and evaluated his options before eventually calling and turned over   , to put Haletky at risk.
