Brian Hastings, Winner of Event #7

Brian Hastings just took down Event #7: $1,125 Pot-Limit Omaha of the Seminole Coconut Creek Circuit stop for $16,248 after navigating through a field of 45 players.

This first-place finish adds a WSOP ring to Hastings’ already stacked resume. He now has four WSOP bracelets, and one Circuit ring, with over $2,700,000 in WSOP cashes.

“It feels good. I don’t go out of my way too much to grind the Circuit but it’s nice to be here. I live nearby,” Hastings said after his victory.

The tournament was scheduled as a two-day affair, but the final table was fast-paced and action-packed.

“I just know from playing a lot of PLO that stuff can go down really fast in PLO”

Hastings had to defeat bracelet winner Howard Mash heads-up to claim the title and although they were both deep, he managed to do so within fifteen minutes.

“We were both playing pretty fast and loose. I think the last hand was pretty normal. He had queens and an open-ended straight draw which is pretty good heads-up.”
