Alan Katsnelson, Winner of Event #1
Alan Katsnelson just claimed hist first Circuit ring in his first WSOP Circuit cash after taking down the first event of the Seminole Coconut Creek Circuit series, Event #1: $400 No-Limit Hold’em. It is Katsnelson’s first recorded victory and it is worth $16,189.
“It means a lot. I had my family members put up for me so I’m just happy to do it for them. I won it for my family.”
Katsnelson came into the final table with an average stack, but his patience paid off.
“I just had to pick my points. I was kind of card dead at the beginning. I finally got a hand, doubled up, then I pushed all in with ace-seven and I got two callers. Luckily nobody had an ace. I hit the ace and I tripled up.”
Although Katsnelson only plays poker for fun, he plans to stick around and try to repeat his success.
“I will be here tomorrow, and I will be here Saturday.”
