Curtis Terry
Congratulations to Curtis Terry, winner of Event #4: $600 No-Limit Hold'em for $26,780. Terry topped a stacked field of 200 entries and took home the bulk of the $103,000 prize pool.
“It feels absolutely unbelievable” smiled Terry. He won this tournament on his home turf in Louisiana and plans to play in the 50th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas later this summer.
When asked about his laser-sharp focus in this event, Terry believes his tough opponents are his motivation. “Honestly my mindset is in the challenge. I’m going up against players who are a lot younger than me – a lot of them. It makes me wanna try harder. It just motivates me to stay more focused and just do what I can do to take it down.” Terry plans on taking this momentum and dominating the rest of the week here in New Orleans.
