Daniel Lowery
Congratulations to Daniel 'Duma' Lowery, winner of Event #3: $400 No-Limit Hold'em for $15,952 and his 9th career World Series of Poker Circuit ring!
Lowery topped a field of 179 entries, dominating the final table after coming in with the second-most chips.
Nine rings is impressive, but it’s also his third ring in two months. “I don’t get to play very much, so since Gus (his son) has been born, everything I’ve played has just been gold.” Gus was born on May 25th, 2016 and he has won five rings since then. In addition to that, he has made 44 final tables and has won 11 tournaments.
Lowery topped a field of 179 entries, earning himself $15,952 for the win. He admits he has been playing less lately to spend more time with his family, but has found much success on the Circuit when he does play. “I’ve struggled this year because I’ve kind of hated being away from home, and so I try to make it count anytime I’ve been anywhere. When I have gone it’s been awesome. The competition is what brings me back.” An emotional Lowery explained that his family fuels his passion, and he plans to make a run in Las Vegas this year for the 50th World Series of Poker.
