Daniel "Duma" Lowery, of Peter Pender, Arkansas, has earned the eighth Circuit ring of his career after dominating the final table in Event #2 at Circuit Horseshoe Tunica, $400 No-Limit Hold'em Multi-Flight Re-Entry. Lowery's latest big Circuit result is worth $52,378 and likely secures a seat for him into this fall's Casino Championship in Cherokee, NC.

Lowery made quick work of the final table, eliminating most of the other players on his way to the ring. Lowery had roughly a 3:1 edge over his final opponent, Chicago's Stanislav Angelov, who tried to make a major move on Lowery on the turn of a hand with the board already showing      . Angelov, who Lowery said turned up the aggression once the final was trimmed to four players, moved all in, but Lowery was holding    for top two pair. Lowery called with ease, Angelov was on a bluff with    and was already drawing dead, and a meaningless   officially wrapped up Lowery's eighth career Circuit triumph.

Angelov collected $32,540 for his runner-up effort. Hoover, Alabama's Edward Allen finished third, earning $24,016.

The win moves Lowery into a tie for eighth on the career Circuit wins list, along with Kyle Cartright and Chris Reslock. Even more impressive is that Lowery is not a full-time poker pro, as he owns and operates a sawmill in the Fort Smith region of Arkansas. This was only his third significant stop of the 2018-19 Circuit season, and at his last series, in Tulsa [OK] a little over a month ago, he logged his seventh win and a third-place finish.

Lowery has steamrolled a couple of prior Circuit events, and his performance here was impressive as well. He finished Day 1 with one of the top stacks, had moved into the lead by the time the final table formed, and never relinquished that lead on the way to the win. "I felt like I was in total control all of Day 1," he said, "and today, too. I just felt like I was wire-to-wire in control."

Lowery has some sawmill-investment plans for at least part of his winnings. "I'm always buying equipment. I've seen a couple of things right around $30K that I wanted. I'll be getting one or the other of them. And I'll use some of it for the first part of the summer, meaning a trip to the WSOP." It'll be his first Las Vegas WSOP trip in five years.

"As you can see in my winner photo" (above), "I have this unclean face. I told [people] Thursday that I was going to pull a 'Neil Scott' -- referring to the California-based Circuit regular -- and not shave until I won another ring. That was Thursday..." meaning that he's met the tongue-in-cheek challenge after just three days.

Angelov collected $32,540 for his runner-up effort. Hoover, Alabama's Edward Allen finished third, earning $24,016.
