Maurice Hawkins 

The field was cut down from 94 to just six on Day 2 of the $1,700 Main Event here at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa. At the end of hte day, two former World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event Champions were left standing, Viet Vo, who recently won the Main Event at The Rio in Las Vegas and Maurice Hawkins who is looking to take down his fifth Main Event. Hawkins leads the pack with 4,860,000 chips and could once again tie the record for most WSOPC Rings with 12.

Jason White heads to the rail for seventh-place winnings after a big hand against Kou Vang. White opens to 125,000 from early position, Vang calls from the button, and Viet Vo calls from the big blind as well.

The flop is    . Vo checks, and White moves all in for 1,180,000. Vang thinks for a short while before calling, and Vo folds out of the pot. The hands are opened:

Phillip Pope opens to 105,0,00 and in the small blind Heatham Foty moves all in for 530,000. Action folds back to Pope who calls.

The flop comes     and Hawkins bets 120,000. White calls.

Hawkins fires out 210,000 before the   is dealt on the turn. White thinks for a moment, then calls.

The river is the   and Hawkins takes a beat, then bets 120,000. White doesn't wait too long to call.

Action folds around to the hijack where Matt Newcombe moves all in for right around 500,000. Next to act Trey Brabham moves all in over the top with a covering stack. Action folds around so Newcombe and Brabham are on to a showdown.
