Event #9: $2,200 High Roller

On a board of     , the player in the small blind checks, as does Jake Schwartz in the hijack. Leandro Faraminan is in the cutoff and bets 2,000. The small blind check-raises to 7,000 and Schwartz thinks about it before deciding to fold. Faraminan calls. 

The river is the   and the small blind checks. Faraminan has a confused look on his face but then bets 8,000. The small blind check-raises all in for 52,625 and Faraminan goes into the tank. He takes his headphones off and thinks before tossing in a single chip to call. His opponent tables    for a flush and gets up to leave his seat before Faraminan tables    for a full house tens full of jacks.

John DePersio

John DePersio moves all in for about 7,000 in early position and action folds to Ian O'Hara on the button who decides to call. 

DePersio is at risk and well behind with   , up against O'Hara's   . "I'm drawing dead" laughs DePersio. The flop comes     though and DePersio picks up a straight draw. "I have a chance!" smiles DePersio. Unfortunately for him, the turn is the   and the river is the   to send DePersio to the rail and the pot to O'Hara.

Walid Maddah limps from under the gun as does Stephen Diamantas from early position, Raymond Nestlehutt from the cutoff, Paul Domb from the small blind and Richard Leger checks his option from the big blind. 

The flop comes     and action checks to Maddah who bets 1,500. All players in the hand call. 

The turn is the   and all five players check to the   on the river. Action checks to Maddah and he bets 2,500. Diamantas folds and Nestlehutt raises to 6,500. Both Domb and Leger fold and Maddah thinks for about a minute before deciding to call. Nestlehutt tables    for Broadway and Maddah mucks his cards.

Paul Domb limps in from under the gun and the player on the button raises to 1,200. Raymond Nestlehutt calls from the small blind as does Hassan Tahsildar in the big blind and Domb from under the gun. 

The flop comes     and action checks to the button who bets 2,500. Nestlehutt folds and Tahsildar quickly check-raises to 5,400. Domb folds and the button thinks for a moment before deciding to call.

The turn is the   and Tahsildar bets 5,700. His opponent folds and says, "Nice bet brother" as Tahsildar rakes in the pot. "I knew you had ace-king" says Tahsildar. 

Hassan Tahsildar - 105,000

Brian Punch is in late position and faces a bet of 4,000 from the player in the small blind. After some though, Punch moves all in for about 33,000, putting his opponent to the test for about 30,000. The small blind doesn't think for too long and shoves his chips in the middle, emphatically tabling   . Unfortunately for him, Punch tables   .

The board runs out       and Punch holds to send his opponent to the rail.

On a board reading     Yaish Alon checks from the small blind. Gregory Spinder is in late position and bets 1,100. Alon calls. 

The turn is the   and Alon check-calls a bet of 1,700 this time. The river is the   and Alon checks yet again. Spinder wastes no time and fires out a bet of 2,800. Alon tosses in a single chip to call and Spinder tables    for a pair of threes. Alon looks at the board for a few seconds and eventually tables    for aces up to rake in the pot.

On a board reading    , Chad Eveslage leads out from the small blind and Richard Rice moves all in on the button. Eveslage calls.
