Three time ring winner Eric Fields just busted his first bullet for Day 1b. While the action is unknown, Fields was all in and flashing his    on a board of       while his opponent, Tom Leimberger was holding   . Both players had a full house, but Leimberger turned aces full of jacks, while Fields rivered aces full of tens. All the money is in on the river and Leimberger is scooping the pot. 

"Good luck gents," Fields says as he exits the tournament area.

Two players see the flop come    , and there's about 350 in the pot. Ilya Shpiner checks from the small blind, and Peter Hengsakul bets 200. Shpiner calls.

The turn is the   and Shpiner leads out for 300. Hengsakul folds.

On the next hand, the cutoff raises to 150 and Shpiner calls from the button. The big blind calls as well, and they see the flop three-handed.

The flop is     and the big blind checks. The cutoff continues for 200 and only Shpiner calls. The turn is the   and it's now checked to Shpiner. He bets 500 and his opponent folds.

First to act, Trung Pham opens with a raise to 200. William Wolf is in the next seat over and he raises, making it 650. Pham calls. 

The flop comes down     and Pham checks over to Wolf. Wolf puts out a bet of 800, which Pham calls. 

The turn is the   and both players slow down and check. On the   river, Pham checks for a third time. Wolf puts out a bet of 2,700. Pham thinks for about half a minute, then calls. Wolf shows    for two pair and that's good to earn him the pot as Pham mucks.

Day 1B of the Bicycle Casino's $1,675 no-limit hold'em main event is set to get underway Sunday starting at noon. On Saturday, 294 entrants registered for the event with only 60 surviving through the end of the night. Leading the pack was Kelly Minkin who bagged up 448,000 over the course of the day. Players will have two more chances to enter or re-enter the main event on Sunday, as players play through 15 more levels. 

Last year, there were 842 entries that generated a prizepool of $1,263,000. Nikhil Gera came out on top to win $246,295 and his first Circuit ring. As with every Circuit main event, the champion earns a free seat into next year's Global Casino Championship.

The second of two starting flights gets cards in the air at noon and here are the details:

  • Players start with 20,000 in tournament chips
  • Blinds start at 25/50
  • Players are allowed one re-entry while registration is open
  • Registration is open until the start of level 10 (~7:30 p.m.)
  • Day 1 is scheduled for 15, 40-minute levels
  • There are 15-minute breaks after levels 3, 6, and 12, a 60-minute dinner break after level 9

The players who make it through the day and put chips in the bag will come back for Day 2 on Monday at noon. WSOP.com will have live updates for the duration of the main event.
