Clayton Vandiver - Event #2 Winner
Clayton Vandiver has just claimed the final Bounty of Event #2 by hitting a set of sevens on the river. Four-time gold ring winner Duane Gerleman was the victim of Vandiver’s crushing hand. Gerleman narrowly misses out on his fifth, Council Bluffs Circuit title, but takes home $4,450 as the runner-up.
The first-place prize of $7,202 goes to Vandiver who meandered through 120 entrants in the No-Limit Hold’em Bounty tournament. It took two days of poker for the 83-year-old to become the last man standing, ultimately grabbing his first World Series of Poker gold ring.
Vandiver has been playing poker as a hobby for over 70 years. Since retiring from the Air Force, the Kentucky native settled in Omaha, Nebraska. He and his wife enjoying playing poker in Council Bluffs. Now he has some golden hardware to show for it.

The final ten players have redrawn seats and moved to an unofficial final table. One more knock out will mark the official final table. Paul Cogliano is the most at risk, sitting as the short stack with around 54,000.
Duane Gerleman, owner of four Council Bluffs gold rings, has taken over the chip lead since the start of Day 2. Travis Hiteshew, who began the day as chip leader, is still near the top with nearly 200,000 to his stack.

Day 2 of Event #2 has just begun.
The 17 remaining players are still five spots from the money. Following the money bubble burst, there will be a merge to one table. Chip counts and seating assignments will be posted at that time.

END OF DAY 1
Day 1 of Event #2: $365 No-Limit Hold'em Bounty (1 Re-Entry) has
reached its stopping point. The tournament was left with two tables
still in play. A group of 17 survivors will now await Day 2, which
begins at 2:00 p.m. Friday.
All around, the chip stacks are fairly close in stature. Travis
Hiteshew edged out his opponents enough to bag with the chip lead. The
second leg will decide a Bounty champion.

The registration period for Event #6 closed after the second break of
the day and the prizepool information has been released. With 120
entrants, there was $36,000 accumulated. A total of $12,000 was set
aside for collected bounties and the other $24,000 was broken down into
individual payouts.The top 12 finishers will place in-the-money.

Event #2: $365 No-Limit Hold'em Bounty makes way at 5:00 p.m. and leaves registration open up to the start of Level 9. Players will be
allowed one re-entry during the registration window. An added feature of
the competition is a $100 Bounty prize for any knockout scored by an individual
during the course of play.
Here is a rundown of the Bounty competition:
- $100 Bounties
- Players begin with 10,000 in tournament chips
- Blinds start at 25/50
- Day 1 is scheduled to play 15 levels
- Registration is open until the start of Level 9 (~9:30 p.m.)
- One re-entry is allowed during the registration period
- Levels 1-18 are 30-minutes long, and Levels 19+ are 45-minutes long
- There is 15-minute break after Level 4, 8, 12, 18, 21, 24, and 27
- Day 2 will resume Friday at 2:00 p.m.
- The winner will receive a WSOP Circuit gold ring
