Josh Clanton couldn't have drawn up a better Monday. It was his son's fifth birthday, his Alabama Crimson Tide won the NCAA National Championship and he took down the $365 Big O at Choctaw to win his first ring. He defeated a field of 295 entries to win $21,238 along with the title.

He came out on top of a stacked final table and defeated Rob Jackson heads-up to earn his first WSOP title. At the outset of the final table, there were 11 rings spread among some of the Circuit's most accomplished players. Jessie Bryant was eliminated in eighth, Mark Fink hit the rail in sixth and Doug Carli headed to the cage in third place to leave Clanton heads-up with Jackson.

This was Carli's 180th career WSOP cash and fell just shy of his fourth career ring. Jackson took home $13,126 for his second place finish and first WSOP cash.

Nobody is leaving the fourth event of the Circuit stop at Choctaw happier than Rob Jackson. Jackson bagged up a massive chip lead at the end of 16 levels in the $365 Big O event and leads the final 20 players that survived the first day.

Jackson finished with 493,000 and has nearly double what the next closest player bagged up. Four-time ring winner Mark Fink is that player. He finished second in chips with 287,000. Josh Clanton (251,000), Bill Watchman (226,000) and Gene Timberlake (205,000) round out the top five chip stacks.

Doug Carli, who holds the record for most cashes in WSOP events with 179, also made it through the day. He's near the bottom of the chip counts with just 25,000, but has already locked up his 180th career cash.

With a 295-entry field, the money bubble burst late in the day with the final 30 players finishing in the money. There were 10 casualties before the day's final hand, which guarantees the returning players a cash of at least $913. The winner will take home $21,238.

Three-time ring winners Allen Kessler and Bryuan Devonshire each made the money, but failed to last long enough to put chips in a bag. The remaining players will return at 2 p.m. on Monday to play down to a winner.
