Chris Carey got one shove through uncalled, but he had to face the music on his second attempt.

Justin Boggs opens to 65,000 in early position to start the action. Next to act, Carey three-bets to 245,000, leaving just 10,000 chips behind. When it folds back around to Boggs, he shrugs and re-raises. Carey drops his last two chips into the pot, putting himself at risk on a coin flip.

The     flop is a miss for the at-risk player, though the   on the turn adds some more outs to a better two pair. The river is the blank  , though, giving another pot to the chip leader.

Carey is eliminated in ninth place as the first casualty of this final table.

Wendy Freedman opens to 65,000 in the cutoff. Sitting to directly to her left is Justin Boggs, the chip leader and a common adversary for Freedman on Day 2. Boggs calls on the button. Christopher Carey folds his small blind and Al Hencheck defends his big blind with a call.

The flop comes    . Hencheck checks. Freedman bets puts out a C-bet of 85,000. Boggs comes over the top with a raise to 175,000. Hencheck folds. Freedman calls.

The turn is the  . Freedman checks. Boggs is measuring out chips. He lays out a big bet of 330,000, which is enough to get Freedman to fold.

Boggs draws first blood and moves to over two million in chips.
