Justin Boggs opens the button to 115,000, and Scott Montgomery three-bet shoves for 795,000 in the big blind. Boggs needs a minute to think.

"This one's pretty close, Scott," he says. He asks the dealer to pull in the raise into the pot to assess the potential damage. Then he calls, putting Montgomery at risk, and it's a flip.

For the second time today, Montgomery flops a set against Boggs. The board comes      , and the Canadian doubles up through the chip leader once again.

Action folds around to Hamid Izadi's button, and he opens to 110,000. Wendy Freedman three-bet shoves in the small blind, and Izadi quickly folds.

The next hand, Scott Montgomery opens to 125,000 under the gun, and Freedman three-bet shoves from the button. Montgomery folds without delay, too, and Freedman collects another preflop pot.

The average stack is starting to get a little thin, so those shoves are important right now. Each of them adds 105,000 chips to her stack, and she's moved back into seven-figure territory as a result.

Boggs slides out barrel number two and fires it for a bet of 530,000. Izadi again measures out a call. If he were to call, Izadi would be left with about 325,000 behind. Izadi holds on to his chips and folds. Boggs rakes in the large pot.

The turn is the  . Izadi checks for a second time. Freedman proceeds to move all in. She has Izadi covered by a good margin. Izadi enters the tank, faced with a call for his tournament life. He counts out his remaining stack. It looks to be right around 350,000.

After about a minute goes by Izadi calls. Freedman shows    and Izadi tables   .

All three players check through the     flop. The turn is the  . Hencheck checks again, Freedman bets 120,000, Boggs calls, and Hencheck folds. Heads-up, the river is the  , and Freedman bets 210,000.

Boggs needs a couple minutes to think, and he chats quietly with Freedman as he does. "I guess you could have, like, jacks or tens here," he surmises at one point. Another moment later, he adds another, "jacks or tens...," trailing off before sliding the call forward.

"Jacks," Freedman confirms his suspicions. She tables    to prove it and win the pot.

The river is the  . With a pot already holding over 900,000, Boggs slides out a towering bet of 850,000. Montgomery thinks for a second and then calls.

Boggs flips over a monster, showing a full house on the flop with   . Montgomery looks at the hand in disbelief and slides his whole cards toward the muck.

Two players both claim to have folded a queen, so Robinson was apparently drawing dead on the turn. He's eliminated in eighth place.

Action folds to Al Hencheck in the cutoff who bets 65,000. His only caller is George Lusby in the big blind.

The flop comes    . Lusby checks. Hencheck bets 100,000. Lusby counters with a check-raise to 400,000. The bet only nearly puts Hencheck all in. However, Hencheck shoves anyway and Lusby calls. The final call from Lusby was for 50,000 more.

Lusby turns up    for an open-ended straight draw. Hencheck holds top pair with his   .

The   lands on the turn. It is a good card for Hencheck. Not only does he improve to trips he eliminates the top end of Lusby's straight draw. If a king were to land Hencheck would make queens full.

The river is the   and the sizable pot is pushed toward Hencheck. Lusby has now doubled up two opponents so far on Day 3 and sits with the short stack of the table.
