So far, most of the familiar faces in the room are those belonging to unsuccessful Day 1A players.

Former WSOP Main Event finalist Dennis Phillips is one of them, tucked away in one of the corner tables that begins short-handed. The same can be said for ring winners Dylan Linde, Brad Albrinck, and Charles "Woody" Moore.

Corey Bierria is back for more, too, despite playing right to the end of Day 1A. He was eliminated in a huge flip against Kurt Jewell right before the bags came out, but Bierria stopped by the media desk to make a bold proclamation this morning.

"I'm calling my shot right now," Bierria said. "I'm going to be the only person who's ever played every hand of Day 1A and Day 1B and still won the tournament."

Hamid Izadi is another ring winner in the field, and he's making his first appearance in the Main Event after arriving late yesterday evening.

It's the weekend at Horseshoe Southern Indiana, and with it comes Day 1B of the $1,675 WSOP Circuit Main Event.

Friday's Day 1A flight drew 184 entries, and just 27 players survived the day. The last level was something special, with huge pots playing out at all four tables that remained in action.

Scott Montgomery was the beneficiary of one of them. The former Main Event finalist surged to the top of the leaderboard during the last few hands of the night. After being in and out of the chip lead all day long, Montgomery ended with 316,500 of them to set the pace for the field.

Kurt Jewell (249,500), Maurice Hawkins (214,500), Wendy Freedman (160,500), Nick Pupillo (153,000), and Robert Hankins (99,500) also advanced, earning themselves a day off from Main Event action.

Anyone who didn't bag up is eligible to play Day 1B, with a single re-entry permitted through the close of registration. Play begins at noon with 15 levels of poker on the schedule.
