The flop comes    . Kumar checks, Bracy bets 125,000, and Kumar calls.

The turn is the  . Kumar checks again, Bracy bets 210,000, and Kumar calls.

"I check dark," Kumar says, just before the river comes the  .

"Check dark huh?" Bracy says questioningly. He then mumbles slightly, sits back in his chair, pauses for nearly a minute, and taps the table to check behind.

Kumar turns over   . "Is it good?" Kumar asks.

"Oh, it's real good," Bracy says as he turns over   , for a chopped pot while slightly laughing.

"I should have snap-shoved on your ass," Bracy says with a smile.

"I would have snap-called," Kumar says with a serious face.

"That's good to know," Bracy says with a small laugh. Table mate Max Young also smiles and laughs slightly.

James Carroll raises to 70,000 from under the gun. Tony Bracy calls in the small blind, and Jasthi Kumar raises to 225,000 in the big blind. Carroll calls and Bracy says, "Good luck boys," as he mucks his cards.

Both Carroll and Kumar check the     flop.They also both check the   turn.

The river is the  . Kumar checks, Carroll bets 475,000, and Kumar calls.

Carroll turs over    for a pair of aces, and Kumar shows   , before tossing them into the muck.

James Carroll opens the cutoff with a raise, and Tony Bracy defends his big blind.

Both players check through the     flop. The turn is the  , and Bracy leads for 80,000. Carroll calls. The river is the  . Bracy checks, Carroll bets 240,000, and Bracy instantly calls.

Carroll shows    for a queen-high straight, and it's good. The river had been the difference maker; Bracy shows   , having turned a nine-high straight that ended up second best.

Cary Marshall (pictured) raises to 115,000 on the button. It folds to Max Young in the big blind who shoves all in, having Marshall covered.

Marshall sits back in his chair and thinks for about a minute, looking at the 300,000 chips he has behind. He pauses for another thirty seconds and then calls.

Marshall:

The flop comes    , leaving Young in the lead with his pair of tens.

He maintains that lead when the turn comes the  , but Marshall picks up outs to a straight.

Unfortunately for Marshall, the   river does not improve his hand, and the 2012 champion of this event is forced to settle for a near-miss this time. Marshall is eliminated in sixth place.

With his elimination, Daniel Lowery has officially locked up the title of Casino Champion for this stop at Harveys Lake Tahoe.

Jasthi Kumar opens to 75,000 second to act, and Tony Bracy defends his big blind.

The flop is    . Bracy checks, Kumar continues for 75,000, and Bracy calls. Both players check through the   turn. The river is the  . Bracy checks again, Kumar bets what looks like 200,000, and Bracy folds.

Kumar shows   , pocket aces for the second time in the orbit.

On the second hand of Day 3, it folds to Jasthi Kumar in the cutoff who raises to 75,000. Justo Avalos (pictured) moves all in for a little over 300,000 on the button, and it folds back to Kumar who calls.

"Oh geesh, nice hand," Avalos says genuinely, as the flop comes    .

The   turn and   river do not improve Avalos' hand, and he is eliminated in 7th place.

Just three hands into the day, we are now down to the final six players.

On the first hand of Day 3, Jed Hoffman opens to 75,000 in middle position, and Haran Nagarajan (pictured) three-bet shoves for 355,000 in the big blind. Hoffman double-checks his cards and quickly calls to put his opponent at risk.

Nagarajan pulls in front on the     flop, but his lead does not hold. The turn and river come   and  , and Hoffman runs down a flush to earn the knockout.

"Did I win?" Hoffman asks.

He did, and Nagarajan is eliminated in eighth place as a result.

The Main Event at Harveys Lake Tahoe is down to its final eight competitors.

Max Young steadily climbed over the course of Day 2, and pushed into the lead at the final table when he knocked out Victor Paredes in 9th place ($13,706). James Carroll also had a successful Day 2, finishing 2nd in chips.

The stage is set for a fascinating finale. Play resumes at 12:00 pm today at Level 26, featuring blinds of 15,000/30,000 with a 5,000 ante.
