Alexander Lakhov

10 August 2017 (Cherokee, N.C.) – The final table of the 2017 WSOP Global Casino Championship is set, and Alexander Lakhov will enter the final day of the tournament with the chip lead. He enters the final day of the tournament with 1,463,000, well ahead of the second place player (Sean Yu), who has 935,000. There are four other players still in contention, and combined they have fewer chips than Lakhov.

The six remaining players will return Thursday at noon for the official final table, which will be filmed for and televised at a later date.

Will Berry

Will Berry moves all in for just barely over 100,00 from early position and is called by Alexander Lakhov in middle position and Sean Yu in the small blind.

Berry is all in for the main pot and any further action between Lakhov and Yu would create a side pot.

Both players check a flop of     and the   comes on the turn. Both players check again and the   comes on the river. Yu checks and Lakhov shrugs his shoulders.

Yu interpreted that as a check and tabled his hand, which is   .

"I didn't do anything," said Lakhov.

Lakhov immediately bets 200,000 and a supervisor is called over. He rules that Yu's hand is still live and he can make a decision on what to do with his hand. After a little deliberation, Yu folds.

Lakhov shows    and wins the pot against Berry's   . Berry is eliminated in seventh place, bubbling the televised final table and earns $39,993. Lakhov takes the chip lead into tomorrow's final table.
