Day 1 of the Global Casino Championship is in the books at Harrah’s Cherokee. After ten hour-long levels of play, 47 of 124 players remain. Registration will be open until the start of Day 2 on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Final entries and prize pool information will be posted after registration closes.

Dylan Wilkerson stayed toward the top of the counts for much of the day and ended the night still on top after bagging 218,200. Wilkerson received his automatic entry into the event with his win in the Circuit Main Event at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles, where he cashed for more than $200,000.

Alexander Lakhov raises to 3,000 from the hijack and Michael Sanders moves all in for about 21,000 on the button. The blinds fold and Lakhov calls.

Lakhov shows    and has Sanders'    dominated. The board runs out       and Sanders grabbed his belongings after he saw the ace fall on the turn, realizing he was drawing dead to the river.

He wished everybody good luck and Lakhov took the pot.

The flop is     and Moura checks. Mutti continues for 2,300 and Moura calls again.

The   comes on the turn and Moura checks again. Mutti bets again, this time 5,200. Moura calls.

The river is the   and Moura checks a third time. Mutti moves all in, and Moura angrily slams his cards face down on the felt to fold.

Alexandre Sette opens to 3,000 in the cutoff and Ben Keeline defends his big blind. Both players check the     flop and the turn is the  . Keeline bets 4,500 and Sette calls. 

The river is the   and Keeline quickly bets 25,000, enough to put Sette to an all-in decision. Sette looks uncomfortable and thinks it over for a long while. He eventually calls and they show down.

On the   river, Gonzalez looks at Reichard's stack and thinks for more than one minute. He eventually puts out a bet of 19,400, which is met with an insta-call from Reichard.
