Gregory Armand
Gregory Armand used the lessons that he learned from his father to stay focused and mount a comeback for the ages in his victory in the $365 no-limit hold'em single day event.
The entrepreneur from Santa Barbara was down to less than a big blind at the final table, but mounted an insane comeback to win his second Circuit ring and $33,156. He dedicated his second ring to his father, who he taught him how to stay focused and motivated regardless of whatever obstacles stand in his way.
Armand won his first ring last season in Lake Tahoe. He dedicated that ring to his mother, who passed away from Cancer a few years ago. Armand found lots of success on the Circuit last season, mostly at the California stops. He was able to amass enough points throughout the season to secure himself a seat in the Global Championship, which is the reason he made the trek across the country to Cherokee.

There are 10 players remaining in the $365 no-limit hold'em single day event with 30-minute levels with and they have redrawn for seats at the unofficial final table. With one more elimination, the final nine players will receive credit for making an official WSOP Circuit final table.
There are 15 minutes left in level 24 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and a 3,000 ante. XXX has the inside track to the title, coming into the redraw with the chip lead. Everybody is guaranteed at least $2,481, but they are all within reach of the $33,156 first place money.

With level 9 underway, registration for the $365 no-limit hold'em single day event with 30-minute levels is closed and there are officially 514 entries in the field. That generates a prizepool of $154,200 and the top 54 spots will get paid.

The WSOP Circuit at Harrah's Cherokee is hitting its homestretch and the third single day event of the series gets underway on Thursday morning. The $365 no-limit hold'em with 30-minute levels gets underway at 11 a.m. and here are the details:
- Players start with 10,000 in tournament chips
- Blinds start at 25/50
- There are 10-minute breaks after levels 4, 8, 16, 20, 24 and 28. There is a 45-minute dinner break at the end of level 12
- A player is allowed one re-entry into the event while registration is open
- Registration is open until the start of level 9 (~3:30 p.m.)
- This is a one-day event and will play to a winner
