Jordan Meltzer
Jordan Meltzer earned his first Circuit ring on Monday night in the $580 no-limit hold'em. He defeated a field of 307 entries and defeated Vincent Moscati heads-up to secure the title and $36,072.
Moscati took home $22,304 for his runner-up finish, but fell just shy of his seventh career Circuit ring. Two-time ring winner Michael Sanders finished in fifth and earned $8,983.
Meltzer, a Florida native, won the hand with pocket tens, but made sure he was holding pocket jacks in his winner photo. It is a tribute to his friend and two-time ring winner Jonathan Abla, who tragically passed away just over a year ago.
"I just want people to know that I'm dedicating this win to Jonathan Abla," said Meltzer after his win.
