Eli Elezra - Chip Leader of Day 2
Welcome to the final day of the $1,675 Main Event at Planet Hollywood.
Over the course of the two starting flights 528 players took their shot at the Planet Hollywood Main Event title, and now only nine remain as they head into Day 3 at 12:00 pm. Eli Elezra is leading the pack, having ended Day 2 with 3,165,000 chips. The next closest player to Elezra, Keith Doering, who has just slightly more than half of Elezra's stack, ended yesterday with 1,660,000.
Elezra came close to the 3 million chip mark in the last level of the night after he flopped a set of eights to crack Dale Beaudoin's , eliminating Beaudoin in 11th place ($12,743). He steadily built upon his stack for the last half of the level, and was the only player to end Day 2 with more than 3 million chips.
Here is a look at the final nine players, along with their respective chips stacks:
The remaining nine players are guaranteed at least a $15,800 payday, but all have their sights set on the $170,286 top prize, the coveted gold ring, and an automatic entry into the Global Casino Championship, valued at $10,000.
Blinds will be 15,000/30,000 with a 5,000 ante when play resumes, and the average stack is just less than 40 big blinds.
