Event #1: $365 Double Stack No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry ($200k Guarantee)

The prizepool for Event #1 has been finalized. With 800 entries on the dot, the payouts sum comes out to $240,000, surpassing the guarantee by $40,000, with the top payout being $47,992. A total of 81 players will walk away with a payday. Here is a look at the final table payouts:

This debut tournament is soon to complete its third and final starting flight. All in all totaling 800 players, here is a breakdown of entrants in each flight:

The complete number of players advancing to Day 2 of the tournament will be determined by the conclusion of Flight C later tonight.

Flight C of Event #1: $365 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack Re-Entry begins at 11 a.m. It is the final starting flight of tournament. This event has a guaranteed prizepool of $200,000. The flight needs to draw 244 players for the tournament to reach its guarantee. If it falls short of 244 there will be overlay.

Flight B has ended with 24 players bagging, bringing the total of surviving players between the first two starting flights to 47. The final starting flight (Flight C) of the tournament begins tomorrow at 11 a.m. The flight needs 244 players to reach its $200,000 guarantee. If Flight C does not reach 244 players there will be overlay.

Gold ring winner Stephen Nussrallah bagged as the chip leader in Flight A. His lead did not last long because David "Bama" Walters (pictured) ran up a huge stack in Flight B to become the overall chip leader. Walters bagged nearly 200,000 more than Nussrallah. Nussrallah sits in second place overall with one flight remaining.

The first flight of the $200,000 guaranteed opening event has come to a close. There are 23 players that survived the flight out of the 201 that entered. Leading the pack at the end of the day was a WSOP regular. Stephen Nussrallah is a gold ring winner and finished in third place this summer in the Monster Stack event to earn $513k. He will enter Day 2 of the tournament looking for another WSOP deep run.

Each night of the series at 7 p.m. will run the $135 Nightly No-Limit Hold'em event. This is just a side event and not an official gold ring event. There is plenty of value in this tournament because each nightly event leading up to the Main Event will award the winner a free $1,675 Main Event seat in addition to their share of the prizepool.

The Nightly No-Limit Hold'em event has a buy-in of $135 and is finished the same night it begins.

Event #1 adds to the BIG guarantee pool here at IP Biloxi with $200,000 of sure fire prize money. Combined with the Main Event's $500,000 guarantee to come, a total of pool of $700,000 will be guaranteed during this WSOP Circuit stop.

Currently in Flight A of Event #1 there are 158 players registered. The tournament needs a total of 667 entries to reach its guarantee, otherwise there will be overlay. Players have hit their first break and will begin level 5 when they return. Registration closes at the start of level 13.

Flight B begins tomorrow at 11:00 am. Flight C, the final chance to enter, will begin Friday at 11:00 am.

The World Series of Poker Circuit has made its way to southern Mississippi. Thursday is the beginning of the 12-event series at the IP Casino and Resort. The series will kick off with Event #1: $365 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack Re-Entry. The first event will feature a huge $200,000 guaranteed prizepool and three starting flights. To sweeten the deal, the opening event is a double stack event. Players will start with 20,000 chips, instead of the standard 10,000 starting chip stack.

Here is the starting flight schedule for Event #1:

• Flight A: Thursday at 11 am
• Flight B: Friday at 11 am
• Flight C: Saturday at 11 am

Event #1 allows players to play in all three flights and re-enter as many times as they would like. Once a player bags chips in a starting flight, they are not allowed to play in another starting flight. Players are allowed to forfeit their chip stack at the end of a flight if they wish to play in a future starting flight.

The field of the three starting flights' survivors will combine Sunday, September 12 at noon for Day 2 of the event.
