While the final table of the Main Event plays out, Day 2 of the final ring event of the New Orleans series is taking place on the other side of the tournament area. One player at that final table was happier with ninth place than most players are with a ring victory. Sean Small needed ninth or better in the tournament to move his at-large point total to 140 points and secure his bid to the National Championship. He did just that and will be heading to Atlantic City from here.
