Folding Pocket Kings on the Bubble
During hand for hand play, it can be very stressful to get all your chips in the middle. Nobody wants to go out on the bubble and be the last person that didn't make the money. Play tends to tighten and hands that are usually played aggressively are mucked or played very conservatively.
This is the case for one of the players. She is extremely short stacked with only a few chips left, trying to cling on until the bubble bursts. The player acting ahead of her raised it to 4,600, which is more than what she had. It was overwhelming because she clearly had a monster but didn't want to bust on the bubble. She tanked for a while, feeling the pressure of the hand for hand play, the bubble, and being short stacked, her eyes welled up with tears. She slammed her cards down on the felt and mucked.
She folded pocket kings - A hand that, after the bubble, she would have played very differently and could have possibly kept her alive and given her some chips to work with. Folding her big hand kept her in and stopped her from being the last casualty before the money, but she also folded possibly the only hand she may get that had potential to build her stack before she gets blinded to death.
