Naoya Kihara Makes a Smooth Eight, Moves Up
There are three Japanese players remaining as the field approaches the money bubble, and Naoya Kihara is leading the way for the red and white.
In the most recent pot, Kihara defends his big blind to a Chino Rheem button raise. Both players draw two cards, and Kihara calls a bet of 1,500. On the second round, Rheem is pat and bets in the dark. Kihara draws one card before check-raising to 6,000, and Rheem calls. Both men pat the last round, and Rheem calls the final bet.
Kihara shows , and Rheem goes fishing around in the stub to see what he would have drawn if he'd broken his hand. He frowns, shakes his head, and slaps his cards into the muck.
Naoya Kihara - 80,000
Chino Rheem - 69,000
