Ramlal Basdeo From Trinidad and Tobago Still In After Starting Day as Short Stack
Despite starting Day 2 with only 10,100 in chips, Ramas Basdeo is still in and going strong. When we spoke with Basdeo he told us that he is from one of the smallest countries in the world, Trinidad and Tobago, with less than 1,300,000 people total. In his country there are approximately 300 total poker tournament players. Eight of those players attended the World Series this year and recently played the Colossus tournament last week. Of those eight players, five made it into Day 2, and four made it into the money! Quite the feat for a country so small with so few poker players.
Congrats to Ramlal Basdeo for hanging on strong today in event #26. As of this moment he is one of the 56 remaining players left in the field, and he has high hopes of taking home the bracelet to his home country and helping to grow the game!
