Day 1 of Event #20: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'Em Starts at Noon
Welcome to Day 1 of the first $1,500 No-Limit Hold'Em tournament not
named the Millionaire Maker here at the 2015 World Series of Poker!
Today is the first day of play in a three-day event and the defending
champion is Ted Gillis who won $514,027 after besting a field of 2,086.
Gillis
outlasted a tough final table that included eventual runner-up John
Hennigan, Jacobo Fernandez, and Hiren Patel. Others to make deep runs in
this event last year were Max Silver, Phil Collins, Bryan Micon, Loni
Harwood, Matt Affleck, Darren Elias, and Dutch Boyd.
Players
will start with 7,500 in chips and will play 11 one-hour levels with a
90-minute dinner break at the conclusion of Level 6. Play will get
underway at 12 p.m. local time and we will be here throughout the day to
provide you with who's here, chip counts, and some of the big hands
that take place.
