Lavoia Loosening Up
Michael Lavoia has steadily climbed the counts, and with his table recently broken, a quick count of his racks shows 150,000 or so.
Just before moving tables, we watched Lavoia run a power play with his big stack, moving all in on the river of a board. The bet was more than enough to cover Lavoia's opponent, putting him to a test for his tournament life.
After a lengthy tank, Lavoia's opponent elected to fold, and as a reward Lavoia turned over pocket nines for a bluff on the big card board. His tablemates offered a few hoots and hollers at the bold play, while Lavoia simply smiled and said "what do you want from me, I flopped a set right?"
