Spreezy Does It
A player shoots out of his chair and slams his sunglasses to the floor, shattering the eyewear just moments after his own stack met the same fate.
A quick scan of the board told the tale, as the vanquished player had tabled on a board, while Donnell Dais had the laid out in front of his chips.
The player who had stormed out of the tournament area, yelling "You have got to be kidding me!" to the heavens in a tantrum reminiscent of John McEnroe's finest fits, had turned a six-high straight. Dais, for his part, had flopped the wheel but his hand was second best when the money went in. Of course, Dais - who made sure to note that he goes by "Spreezy_WPT" on Twitter - had a redraw to the nut flush, and when the completed the board on the river, that draw came through to prompt the explosion mentioned above.
With the win Dais chipped up to right around 90,000, and he is looking to secure a spot in tomorrow's Day 2 after firing his first bullet earlier today.
