The fourth ring tournament set to conclude today has found its’ champion. A total of 167 players came out to this event to create a prizepool of $55,110. This saw a total of 26 players secure a minimum of $600.

Taking home the ring and the $13,840 first place prize was none other than WSOPC ring winner Hamid Izadi, who now adds a fourth ring to his collection after denying Richard Gebhart a third in the heads up match. He now has collected a ring from Hammond, Biloxi, Coconut Creek, and Tulsa.

“I love the WSOP, the structure, and the management,” the four-time ring winner said when asked about why he travels to play as many stops as he does. “A ring is an achievement for me, and it makes me proud when I finish one. I’ve been getting to so many final tables these past two years, but I couldn’t finish it. Makes me happy about this one.”

This table possessed ring winners like John Reynolds and Richard Gebhart. Despite this a very joking atmosphere paired itself with the players as certain phrases like “One time for Oklahoma!” were used by at risk players when they were behind.

“Very good players at the table, there wasn’t a soft spot among them. Everybody knew what they were doing. At the same time, everyone was playing to have fun and I had fun as well.”

Izadi is also happy with his new ring as it allows him to get a seat to the 2024 WSOP Tournament of Champions freeroll.

“Since the tournament of champions became a ring system and not a points system, I hadn’t won a ring. Now that I have one, I am happy to be able to play this tournament.”
