David "Bama" Walters Takes Down Event #1

David "Bama" Walters (pictured) has just been crowned victor of the inaugural tournament here at the 2016 IP Biloxi Circuit. The 47 year-old, retired deputy sheriff navigated through his starting flight, a long Day 2, and a stout final table to win Event #1: $365 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack Re-Entry. Walters tops a field of 800 players to pocket $47,992 and earn his first career WSOP Circuit gold ring. He also earns 50 Casino Championship points for his victory.
