Robbie Beck Fades Combo To Double

Robbie Beck opens to 1,400 from middle position and the player to his immediate left three-bets to 3,700. The rest of the table folds back around to Beck and he calls to see the flop. After a few moments of thought, Beck moves all-in and after his opponent asks for a count, the dealer confirms the weight of that shove as 20,600. The pre flop three-bettor has just shy of 33,000 in front of him and he eventually calls, only to see Beck table .
The over pair is in the lead for now but Beck needs to fade, as his opponent holds for a pair and a straight draw. That draw becomes even stronger after the falls on the turn, as Beck now needs to fade straight and flush outs. He does, as the bricks on the river and Beck's double is confirmed. If the last name 'Beck' sounds familiar to those following the previous events here in Choctaw, it's because Bob, Robbie's father, won Event #9 earlier this week.
He may not be near the top of the leaderboard just yet but after the double, Robbie is hoping the rest of this weekend is his turn to get into the winner's circle.
