The Horseshoe Baltimore Main Event Begins at Noon
The first of two starting flights in the Horseshoe Baltimore $1,675 Main Event begins today at noon. The property’s Circuit series began last week and kicked off with a re-entry event that drew a massive 2,403 player field. It was the largest poker tournament ever hosted in the state of Maryland. Since then the series began nine days ago, there have been nine different players win WSOP Circuit gold rings with the latest being Jason Sandling. Sandling won the Cherokee Main Event in April of 2014 and looks to pickup what now be his third gold ring int this Main Event.
Here is a closer look at the $1,675 Main Event:
- Flight A begins Friday at noon, Flight B begins Saturday at noon
- Players start with 20,000 chips
- Blinds begin at 25/50
- There is no dinner break on Day 1
- Registration remains open until the start of Level 13. Players are allowed to register up until the start of play on Day 2.
- Day 1s conclude after Level 12 (~8:45 p.m.)
- Levels 1-15 are 40 minutes, Levels 16-25 are 60 minutes, Levels 26+ are 75 minutes
- Players are permitted a total of one re-entry, for a total of two bullets fired at the event and they can fire them whenever they want.
- Players may use one of their entries to buy-in after Day 1 is complete and before Day 2 begins.
- Advancing players combine for Day 2 Sunday at 12 p.m.
- Winner receives automatic entry into 2015 WSOP National Championship
