More Familiar Faces

With one level already in the books, the registration number on the clock has increased to 93. As the field increases in size, more and more notable players arrive and take their seats in the tournament area.

One such familiar face is two-time Circuit ring winner Justin Truesdell. Truesdell won his first ring during the 2008/09 season when he emerged victorious in Event 12: $1,080 No-Limit Hold'em at Harrah's Tunica. His second Circuit victory was a major one, occurring a few years later in New Orleans. Truesdell defeated Andrew Nguyen heads up int the $1,675 Main Event to pocket over $204,000 in first-place prize money. Since then, Trusedell has accumulated over $347,000 in winnings on the Circuit alone.

Joining Truesdell on the felt is Circuit regular and four-time ring winner David Nicholson. The most notable of Nicholson's four gold ring wins occurred in 2011 when he won the Bossier City Main Event, securing him a seat in the National Championship. Nicholson picked up his most recent ring win during last season's conclusion in New Orleans. Nicholson bested the field in a $365 Pot-Limit Omaha event to take home just over $10,000 in prize money. Nicholson has over $306,000 in Circuit cashes to his name, making him a force to be reckoned with in today's event.
