Second Starting Flight About to Begin
Welcome back to our ongoing coverage of the 2013/14 World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at Harrah's Philadelphia. Today is the second and final starting flight of the Main Event, though players can still fire a second bullet tomorrow before the start of Day 2.
Yesterday's starting flight saw a total of 146 runners and by the end of the day just 47 players bagged up. Two-time Circuit ring winner Joe Kuether bagged up the chip lead with 170,000 in chips and is the man to catch for those participating in today's starting flight.
Other notable players to advance onto Day 2 include Horseshoe Southern Indiana final tablist Sean Lippel (137,900), recent PLO event winner Staffan Lind (135,500), Kevin Saul (128,000), Alex Rocha (100,200), Dennis Phillips (70,900), Roland Israelashvili (69,400), Jared Jaffee (57,000), Matt Stout (51,000), and Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler (41,200).
Players hitting the felt today will repeat the motions made by yesterday's field, playing 12 full 40-minute levels before bagging and tagging for the evening. Play will wrap up around 8 pm tonight.
